At Sweet Pea Cakes, Etc. we are so thankful for the good things in our life and for each other. Being a single mother of two, young, beautiful girls, I know how precious life is and how fast they grow up. It is my job to show them how to give back and be thankful they are happy and healthy girls. To combat this additional trauma, Certified Cosmetic Therapist™ Jeffrey Paul founded Wigs for Kids, a nonprofit organization that has been serving children suffering from hair loss since 1980. This wonderful foundation was first introduced to us by Jessica Kissell, owner of Munchie Mallow. This foundation was founded in May of 1998, by Alexandra Bakker, and has been a source of support to children with chronic or life-threatening illnesses and their families. Emotional support is needed from all of us. My oldest daughter and I make cards and send them along with custom gift baskets that match the child's needs each month. You can visit and see the previous kids, featured kids, and families that have lost their children and still need emotional support!
